Shofar has recently launched a healing, compassion and caring ministry, Rapha. The name of the ministry stems from the name of God, Yahweh Rapha, which means 'to heal, mend, stitch together, repair, thoroughly make whole, cure, become fresh, completely healed.' Our Scripture foundation is found in Matt 14:14 TPT: ‘His (Jesus’) heart was deeply moved with compassion toward them, so He healed all the sick who were in the crowd.’

Our purpose is to pray, care, serve and support those in our congregation who are ill, hospitalised, undergo medical treatment or operations, received a terminal medical diagnosis, or walking through a difficult season. We offer the following:
